John is showing a selection of his figurative paintings with his Scottish models. The ladies pose on a bed in a dark room but with directional light to create a dramatic focal point. This style also brings in plenty reflected light to illuminate shadow areas creating a very sensual figure study.
These five figure studies below have just come off the easel. It was an exercise to use the same model’s pose but with different painting styles. My five ladies below showing variations from one pose will be perfect wall art as diptych, a triptych, a tetraptych or even a pentaptych with all five studies together.
