“Cape Schanck in Australia” oil, Size 24 × 20 inches

Cape Schanck lies just outside Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne in Australia. The seas have a very powerful swell as the Tasman Sea around Tasmania meets the Bass Strait and powerful currents keep folk out of the water. However as huge waves crashed over rocks along the shoreline, this view just had to get captured on canvas. My Australian holiday turned out brilliantly for this Scottish artist with so much scenes captured on camera, giving me a few years worth of paintings.
