“Falls of Dochart” oil, 30 × 24 inches

Falls of Dochart shows a turbulent River Dochart in full spate as it flows under the bridge at Killin. To get this view close to the water surface I had to clamber under the bridge with my camera. Captured this view on canvas in oils a few years ago, then couldn’t resist doing a smaller version in watercolour and acrylics. Lovely pine trees on an island in the river with pink willow herb weeds in full flower made the perfect Scottish landscape painting for sale.
