“Falls of Dochart” oil, 30 × 24 inches

Falls of Dochart shows a turbulent River Dochart in full spate as it flows under the bridge at Killin. To get this view close to the water surface I had to clamber under the bridge with my camera. Captured this view on canvas in oils a few years ago, then couldn’t resist doing a smaller version in watercolour and acrylics. Lovely pine trees on an island in the river with pink willow herb weeds in full flower.
