John has always had the artist eye that finds beauty everywhere from landscapes, buildings, flowers, people, skies, and still life and needs to get captured on canvas
Landscape paintings of the Scottish Highlands, Scottish lochs, Castles, Scottish villages and towns, Isle of Skye, my favourite island, and some watercolour paintings from Australia.
John’s home town of Dundee, the City of Discovery has also provided numerous places of interest to capture on canvas. Most paintings are in acrylic with some oil paintings and a few in watercolour and pastel. Some of the larger paintings are perfect great impact as urban inspired wall art, and several may be combined as diptych or even three together as a triptych wall art.
John paints contemporary Scottish landscape art as winter landscape paintings as well as summer landscapes.
Several have now been published as limited edition prints.

“Keifers Quay” oil 16 × 12 inches
Keifers Quay sits just outside Melbourne in Australia on the edge of Port Phillip Bay looking over to the Tasmanian Sea. Painted in oils size 12 × 16 inches, and priced at £600. This is where many fishing vessels arrive with their catch. Painted in summer many years ago, and showing the winding steps down to the harbour.
