“East Pentland Poppies” open edition print size 20 × 15 inches

East Pentland Poppies was taken from an oil painting of a field full of poppies in flower just outside Edinburgh. This view from the Livingston Road looks over towards the Pentland Hills. This print can make a brilliant diptych wall art together with its partner West Pentland Poppies. I painted the scene using two canvases, as this poppy field seemed to stretch for miles.
The floral display from this field was very eye catching so I just had to stop the car and take a photo, then back home in the studio, capture the scene on canvas.
